Capital One Wants In On $495 Annual Fees

Room for one more bank?

Two sources: Frequent Miler and Travel With Grant are reporting the possibility of a $495 annual fee Capital One Card. The card will give a $300 travel credit, but the real question I have been dying to know is if Capital One waives for military on new accounts per the MLA? The card should come to market in a Q2 2020 launch. Anyone out there with any datapoints on annual fee waivers for AD?

I know in 2016 they were like Amex in their SCRA policy. I haven’t kept current with them to know if they went the way of Barclays since then.

I still have the Capital One Venture card fee free (acquired June ’17). It’s difficult to be approved for Capital One though…

I would doubt that. I have been denied twice over the past 1.5 years for Capital One cards. The problem is you don’t know what they are looking for compared to Chase.

Got the Savor One a few months back and applied for SCRA benefits. After processing my request they replied that I was not eligible since I opened the card after joining AD.
