Churning With Precious Metal Coins, Must Be Bought 06 Sept @ 1200 ET

Update: The coin will officially cost $1,392.45 with budget shipping included. Just dreaming of what i can do with that sweet $50.55 profit!

Once again I am taking another risk to generate spend on my new credit cards by reselling precious metal metal coins. I did this with gold krugerrands and almost lost my shirt. However in the end I timed the market correctly and made it all back. This new deal is buying a coin from the US Treasury, and having a buyer at PFS Buyers Club. The whole thing is reminiscent of the Great Brad Wilson who bought $3,000,000 worth of dollar coins with a AmEx SPG card. He then took the coins to deposit into a bank account to pay the credit card bill. Brad ended up transferring the 3 million SPG points for  4 million American Airline Miles!

Todays deal comes from frequent miler. There is also another post on Miles to Memories. The terms are as such from PFS Buyers Club:

On Thursday, September 6th – at 12:00pm ET the US Mint will release a limited edition Palladium Proof coin. The purchase is limited to one (1) coin per household.

The cost of each coin will be $1,387.50*. After including the $4.95 shipping, each order’s total will be $1,392.45*.

You will have the box shipped to your own house or office and then ship them to PFS Buyers Club with a prepaid FedEx shipping label that we will provide for you.

We will pay you $1,443.00* – for a profit of $50.55 per coin ordered.

This is also a great opportunity to earn valuable points/miles on your credit cards, as well as meet any spending thresholds.

We will also be offering referrals for this deal of $20 per completed referral. Referral terms and details are posted on the “My Referrals” page which can be accessed once you’re logged in.(email me in the comments below for link)

For full deal details and terms, as well as the ability to opt in to this deal, you must be a PFS Buyers Club Member.

My first concern is the whole thing seems scammy, like how do I know if these fuckers will pay me back? According to Frequent Miler:

Nick has done a couple in the past and they’ve gone smoothly and I know Shawn at Miles To Memories has mentioned in the past that he’s participated several times without any issues.

So Shawn Coomer did this already with 10 proof sets. Apparently there is some eccentric buyer willing to pay $50 premium on this Palladium coin. The instructions are pretty wild, but I have been asked to not disclose them outside of the PFS site.

The second issue is that the price of the coin is based on the spot price of Palladium. If it happens to go up before the sale in 2 days it would eat into our profit since they are only paying $50 over the price of the coin. Conversely if Palladium goes down, we could be paying less for the coin and then we would make more on the sell back. Esentialy you only got 10 mins to buy these coins.

If you are not doing anything at 12 pm ET on this Thursday and wanted to make a quick MS, please email me for my unique link to sign up for PFS Buyers Club. They have a pretty beastly limitation on referrals:

We will also not pay referral fees for referrals obtained via blogs, generic message board posts or the like (dansdeals et al). We are not looking for spam emails or tons of board blasts to obtain members. These referral codes should be shared to real family / friends / acquaintances that you know and feel would be interested in what we have to offer.

Post a comment with your real email and I will send you my referral link, it would help keep the site alive. Regarding the deal, I just hope we all don’t get fucked on this one, but this is certainly less risky than using coinbase for bitcoin via credit card.
