Good job guys! We broke Barclays USA Gold Luxury Card. Rumor has it that all new Barclay Card users will have to pay the annual fee for all of their cards!! I have the Barclay Gold Card ($995) the Arrival Plus ($89) and the AAdvantage Aviator Silver ($195) for a total of $1279 of fees waived. In the future they will waive like Chase and Citi if you had the account prior to when you joined. This is still in line with the SCRA, just some awesome companies such as AmEx extend the waiver for those new accounts after you join.
Those readers that paid attention and acted fast will be grandfathered in (hopefully)! All the chatter is on /r/churning. Congratulations to those most loyal readers who signed up for Luxury Card with the point bonus way back at the beginning of the year! You essentially got paid $1,000, and now $995 every year in waived fees.
